My goal for that sunrise was to be near the waterfall at the outlet of the lake, but it turns out that in the early 1900s this lake was actually increased in size by man-made projects before the wilderness acts. So it turns out sometimes the level of lake is too low for the waterfall to exist. I was a bit surprised by that. So I had to climb up the massive boulders to the side of the lake, but I liked the way the bright granite reflected the sunrise hues so I went with it.
