I buy these films precut from Taobao since I'm based in (picrel). But it shouldn't be too bad to get a massive spool and cut it yourself - as long as you're ready to commit yourself to one film for the rest of your life. I've seen Aviphot from probably the same seller on ebay, but it's at literally 10 times the price. But keep your eyes peeled, I've seen home cut films for sale on local Facebook groups when I was still in Europe. If not, Shanghai and Foma are both decent enough in 4x5, and won't break the bank.
Also another fun thing you can do with large format negatives is contact prints - no need for a darkroom to have a fully analog process for a print that you can give, if you don't mind low dynamic range and no details. Cyanotypes are dead simple, salt prints are bit more involved but still easily done at home. This is a cyanotype contact print from Aviphot negative that was then dunked in coffee.
