Shot this tmax at 12 or 25 asa, 1+100 rodinal for 45 minutes. A few inversions at the beginning and 2 inversions halfway through. They scan really nicely.
Yesterday I accidentally misread my light meter and overexposed my negatives by 5 stops, so I shot tmax 100 at something like 3 asa. Scratched my head for a while and decided on 1+100 rodinal for 30-40 mins like today. Very dense negatives.
>>4264997Nice print! Looks like a nice memory of a fun day.
I've only used public darkrooms, and I also worked with this old timer in LA that is a master photographer/darkroom printer. I will have a lot of experimenting with developers to see what I like the best!
He shot tmax 100 at something like 12 stops over exposed, spent years perfecting the development of the images, and printing them. If I remember correctly he used a custom dimmer on his enlarger, and the exposure time for his prints is in the multiple hour range. I think around 3 hours. It was an incredible experience working with him, and I think he really enjoyed my photography and helping me make really great prints. I'll see if I can find an example of his photography.
