The only real shortcoming I could find on that one is that the half-arrested position on the head isn't all that finely controllable. Loose and completely arrested is fine.

Sirui and Benro travel tripods also are excellent if you want to spend a little more.
As compared to the Dic&Mic, those are primarily worth it if you get Benro & Sirui's best lightweight heads in a kit deal. Or want an even lighter carbon tripod at a pretty hefty premium.

If you want to spend a ton of money on "the best", Gitzo is probably still the way to go, but the returns are extremely diminished there.

Might be a good option for you to pick up... it's not very expensive. And while certainly not perfect, it's also not crap.
