That one is pretty unique. It's a night lens made to shoot the stars.

I would wait for reviews of the Sigma 14-24 though.

The first comparison is valid, the F1,4 is for the bokeh whores who really, really, really wants to stand out from smartphone shots.

The second one is two different things.
The 35mm is for being stealthy.
The 24mm is designed specifically for shooting the stars, but even then, it's not THAT mush bigger. If you can carry the 85 F1,8, you can carry the 24mm as well.

Their new 24mm is impressive. And I like the aperture right design.
With Canon's latest lenses you have to send it in for repair to convert it to clickless, with Sony you just flip a lever.
