New to film, I got some BW film with the intention of learning how to develop it myself. Reading about this, there seems to be so many variables, and all the developers seem to last a long time. Is it basically, wash-develop-stop-fix-photo flo, following timed instructions on the film label? How do you pick a developer to use? Should I just get an ilford kit since I'll be shooting kentmere during this time, or something else? What's the difference between the developers? Does the temperature really matter for BW like it does for color? I'm really excited about this but not sure where to start. Also if anyone has some book recommendations I'll take them.
