>>2607222First I figured out which zones in a +4 -4 system apply to which RGB values in Camera Raw with -100 contrast applied. I made a curve that essentially "undoes" Camera Raw's baked in curve for my camera using that. Then I found some scenes that I shot using both my digital camera and a film. I looked for places in the digital file that match each of those values from before, and looked at the RGB channels from the film scan there. I created a second curve that matches the RGB values from the flattened TIFF to the RGB values from those values on the film scan. The attached image is my anti-Camera Raw curve. The method definitely needs refining. I think that a +5 -5 system would be better as well, but my camera's sensor can't handle that range.
