Genuine question.
Are Fuji lenses worth the premium over other options? Are they actually sharper? Or better in other ways?
I want to buy a nice modernish camera to replace my inherited D300s, and when pricing used gear Fuji seems to be pretty expensive compared to Nikon in all but bodies (and only if you compare to full frame bodies).
For example, I was looking at something like:
Nikon: Nikon 24-120 F/4G (~$300) + Sigma 150-600 F/5-6.3 C (~$650), or Nikon 200-500 F/5.6E (~$750) TOTAL = $950-1050.
FujiFilm: Fuji XF 16-55 F/2.8 (~$700) + Fuji XF 100-400 F/4-5.6R (~$1000) or Fuji XF 70-300 (~$700) TOTAL = $1400-1700.
All prices are for used gear in USD.
Nikon bodies are a bit more expensive, and I would need to get a Z+ FTZ to get decent video
But even factoring that in it would still be less, or about the same, money to buy Nikon than to buy Fuji, and I would be getting full frame.
So are these lens setups incomparable, in terms of quality?
Not trying to bait, I genuinely just wont to spend my money as wisely possible, since I would like keep the lenses at least, for a good while.
