The front of the train is bright, clear, sharp, in an accent color, i.e. it catches the attention of the viewer. Leading lines also underpin three-dimensionality.
A current digital camera shows the unimportant (the dark parts of the picture) rather clear and sharp. Maybe you, OP, should consider consciously editing your photos to emphasize the subject and not just fucking with sliders.
