FF is better, micro four thirds is probably good enough for your snapshits (and so is your phone) but there's nothing wrong with wanting a camera that's not almost as bad as your phone. Honestly I'm really starting to regret ever recommending the e-m1ii to so many people. I only used one once, and then handed it back. It wasn't a very honest recommendation. I haven't used a fuji but the X-H1 looks like a way better camera than basically all of micro four thirds, and based on the spec sheets fuji looks better than micro four thirds in general.
Maybe the true way forward is Nikon+Fuji, and shoot actual film for the SOVL
