>>4375351>>4375349That was me and yeah it was a Foma R100 kit. It's basically the same process you described (2nd exposure to light instead of chemical fogging), only it uses sulphuric acid with potassium permanganate (harmless) instead of the toxic dichromate as bleach.
The blank rolls were due to the kit developer dying, which has never happened to me in over 20 years.
I ran the process again with a different developer and this time the main point of failure was the re-exposure step for some reason. But I do think ultimately it was the kit chemicals getting old the were at fault.
However, when it did work (the first few rolls) I REALLY liked the results, despite there always being some quirks (like emulsion bubbling, but I think that's specific to the Fomapan R stock). Slides are just such a joy to look at, and being b&w really adds to it. Check the archive for more pics and details of the process I wrote about.
