>>3830057Yeah, I think it's gotta be the original for me. Photography for me is more about capturing the essence of the subject rather than projecting/directing your own vision so much, though there's definitely a place for that. When there are flaws in my photos I just try to accept them as part of the reality of the moment/subject. That's why I love film so much, the tangibility of the negative as a living object with history dating back to that moment the photo was taken.
>>3830054I'm more into this one but, I would rather get this shot by manipulating the camera settings and lighting when I took it. I would be super happy to get that then, but I just feel sort of icky manipulating it so much in post to try and reach a desired look. I prefer to leave em natural. I have never used a darkroom before, does the process actually give you control over manipulating the contrast and exposure of the neg? If so that sounds like great fun and I want to try.
>>3830056this is cool I like the transition and escher-y tessellation effect. Good framing
>>3830039this seems a little tourist vacation reel-y to me, I don't like your shadow, I don't like how the boat is cut off. I don't like the background so sharp. I do like the texture and the bright red, and the light is good if you could find a way to get your shadow out of there
