I'm looking to upgrade my old t7i body. I won't say I've outgrown the body in terms of skill just yet, it takes fine pictures, but there are some features I really want that unfortunately it just doesn't have.
Features I want:
>EF-S lens ecosystem
Quality adapters are acceptable, and if I can use adapters and move to a better/more modern lens ecosystem, I wouldn't be mad about it
>"clean" hdmi out while using AF
T7I is only clean if I turn af off
>focus microadjustment
I have a Sigma 50mm f1.4 non art that's ever so slightly front focused that I can't really use
>good burst capability
I almost always keep my camera in burst mode
>120fps+ 1080p video
Obvious reasons
>touchscreen rear panel
It's just fkn easier in some cases, especially for quick af selection
>improved ISO performance
More of a want than a need
I'm familiar with Canon, and considering the glass available, I don't see much reason to switch. I'm also curious about mirrorless, especially with everyone discontinuing their DSLR lineups. My budget is, admittedly, kind of limited, so I want to find a decent body under $1k, but if there's something significantly better for a few hundred more used or new, I wouldn't mind saving.
Currently I'm looking at the 90d and the EOS RP, the latter being a full frame mirrorless, with good adapters, but the former offering better hardware in aps-c and is more of a direct upgrade, though, after that there isn't much of an upgrade path.
My current glass lineup is
>Tamron a16af 17-50mm xr di-ii f2.8
Workhorse beater lens
>Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM
Great portrait lens, aside from the af problem
>Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 Art DC HSM
This one I know for sure doesn't fill the entire frame on full frame bodies, though I also know it crops extremely well, and is by far my favorite lens
>Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Telephoto
No IS but I'm looking to upgrade later on
Thoughts?
