You could print 16MP 9 times bigger (100dpi) and it would still look pretty good from a meter away.
You can even probably double that again and print on canvas which will be far cheaper anyway and look great.
Here's a sceenshot I saved from a 1080p (2.1mp) video when I got engaged printed on canvas at 36"x20".
I wouldn't recommend blowing 2.1MP out to 36x20 but it worked on this. I cannot see any loss in image quality on the canvas from the meter or two away that I see it each day.
