>>3799396>I just shot some 200The 200 is excellent and its box speed very accurate.
The 200 is what came out of Foma's attempt to make tabular grain film (like Tmax, Delta, etc.). They didn't quite succeed, but they didn't fail either; they got quite a high percentage of pure t-grains in the emulsion to call it a "proper" tabular grain film. But they got a high percentage of some "inbetween" type of grains, in triangular and hexagonal shape.
Long story short it behaves kinda inbetween a traditional cubic grain film, and a t-grain film in most aspects.
For instance it takes longer to fix like most t-grain films, but not as long as say Tmax. Also, usually traditional grain films get a speed increase in diafine, while t-grain ones a decrease, fomapan 200 stays right on the spot. And so on, you get the point.
It's very sharp and high resolving, officially at 110lp/mm (Tmax 100 is 120lp/mm, Tmax 200 is 100lp/mm). Grain is fine, finer than traditional cubic grain films, a bit coarser than pure t-grain films.
Speed is bang on and it's flexible, for pushing and pulling.
All in all really nice film, for a great price.
10/10, would recommend.
