The reason to stay away from reddit is the format of the site which boosts appeal to the lowest common denominator bullshit hiding anything else and discourages criticism. Theres nothing inherently wrong with the content.
Fuck that place though. I tried to submit some of my bird pics and they got hidden which I looked into and got the explanation from some onions retard along the lines of "yeaa we akshyually require you to have 15000 post karma to submit here, it just improves the quality of posts uhhhhhh its akshyually really easy to get, yea just sort by new and interact with the community yunno bro?"
Which is fuckin retarded, it's the only board format I've ever seen where you can post 100 times and not interact with another soul because they're all to busy dickriding the top comments trying to win internet points.
