My entire point from the start has been that cropping isn't increasing the noise in the cropped area. Your big revelation here is that more resolution gives you a sharper image, what genius could have come with that one? Wow, HD television is less blurry on a big screen than 480i was! The whites are whiter and the blacks are blacker! Truly amazing, how did they get away with it? It's almost like there's more information to work with!
