I bought the same camera and people said "omg no viewfinder, you won't be able to shoot in broad day light". Pure bullshit, I spent the whole day in the sun shooting an event today, no issues today or any other day since i bought it. I am not sure where people got this idea, the image does fade a bit if you have the sun shinning straight into the screen but it is completely visible, even with sun glasses on. Maybe they are comparing to liveview in dslrs ?
It's a very good camera, if you take into account the price, decent IQ and it's quite durable, I even had it with me during a snow storm on the top of a mount once (althought i wouldn't recommend you get cocky with it as it is not weather sealed of couse).
