I'm an idiot and corrupted my sd card by clicking the door open and shut repeatedly on my camera in between shots at a live music event. I should have had 600+ images when i opened the card on my computer, but only had half as many as I should have had. In any case, I had used testdisk previously in an attempt to recover noods from an in-law's sd card to no avail. I was able to recover close to every picture I had lost from that live music event. worked great.
