Swapping a green for luminance/"white" could even be full spectrum or IR/UV.
If we switched to 3x3 arrays we could have the ability to capture pure IR, pure UV, R, G, B, Full spectrum luminance, limited spectrum "White" and perhaps a yellow or something else at fractional resolutions which would be amazing. Imagine bursting red/green/blue/luminance/IR/UV all into separate JPEGs in an instant. It'd be like full scene capture.
