I recommend a YN216, it can be powered externally (which is crazy usefull when you know you're gonna work mostly in a studio), with 6 AA batteries and with special Sony Batteries. It is also crazy bright. Point it at a white diffusor, not directly at the subject. Maybe also some smaller fill-lights. Many people underestimate how important lighting is, so better get some knowledge on it, keywords: Three-Point-Lighting, diffusor, deflection, color, soft light.
Last but not least: getting a Zoom H1 will vastly improve your audio. it records audio in very high quality formats and also has a built-in stereo mic, which is great for capturing a room while stationary.
