After finishing the roll, make sure you're not letting it lose tightness as you take it out.
Doing those two things should eliminate leaks if the cause is a loosely wound roll.
In terms of shooting in landscape orientation, you'll get used to it. It honestly never bothered me, even in the beginning.

Welp, think I killed my WP-1. After reading about a few people taking theirs to depth with no leak problems I decided to test my luck. 20 meters kills the WP-1 (or at least mine).
