see pic related. that is an assortment of ray metzkers images. you see them ant sized but you can already guess what the image is, you can see the leading lines, you can see the clear subjects, you can see the sharp outlining of geometries, you can see tonality used as a means of emphasizing either texture or different image planes, you can see the clear patterns. the brain is pretty fast to pick up all of this in a split second to decide if it will like the image or not.
OPs images, in the other hand, are an utter bland mess, thoughtless shooting with no aim, with zero awareness for light conditions. almost all subjects are merged with the background, which leaves the mind very confused. when a subject finally is somewhat clear, it is very boring and the light doesnt lead to him, so it gets lost in some dull gray space. the way of approaching the subjects resembles a creeper.
street is a busy place and metzker makes order out from it. OP cant make sense of the street and gives you a collection of different shades of white noise.
as the icing on the cake, the processing is very, very bad.
