>>3330463Yes. The Plustek is more on the upper end of consumer grade. The Nikon is definitely a professional scanner. The Nikon will automatically feed the film through and likely has better DMax than the Plustek (although I can't find a specification for the Plustek so Idk).
The Plustek has 8 bit grayscale bit depth while the Nikon has 16 bit, but it's likely that 8 will be fine.
Really the only advantage the Plustek has is that it has a higher resolution, however the image quality isn't as good with the Plustek.
If you can get a Plustek for $200 and don't mind manually moving the film through I think you'll be fine if you aren't doing film professionally.
