>>3646817What annoys me little is that you always have to market yourself, I am seen with my camera and asked if I do it "professionally", I reply flattered no but say that I take it a "little bit" too seriously. Sometimes I get smiled at which I don't care, but when I am mocked I rattle the companies I have already worked with, they let me down and are stunned. I didn't know that you are nothing when you try to capture moments and ideas with your camera as you have them as an idea or see them by chance. Pressing a button and taking a picture can be done by anyone, calling yourself a photographer is borderline but whatever.
taking pictures as a hobby helped me to capture moments, to understand waiting for the right moment, to deal with people in front of the lens and to give them a pleasant feeling, which led to great portraits. many interesting conversations with homeless people up to street artists and an understanding for the human being itself. everybody is lonely and confused in this world. but also to realize ideas and create confusion how they came into being.
i have attached a picture here as a thank you for /p/ as a collective.
well my english is bad, so i go back to lurking.
