I did not want to post another house fly but it showes more clearly what I mean (everywhere on the back as well as around the mouth are undesired reflections). I think this picture was actually stacked in camera, but at f10. Now I know they can look nice at times but often I do want to see the details/contrast on an insect and not a fat star. In this case especially the interesting mouth parts are somewhat blocked by reflection. I have a lens hood on order which I assume will help.
>focus stack if needed Would you say that a smaller F-number is generally desired for stacking specifically? Typically I am above 7 for single shots and have nevery really bothered gowing down if I activate bracketing/stacking.
