If you have EVER come across high iso noise in an image that bothered you, then a full frame camera isn't beyond your needs or ability and you would be happier with your results using a larger sensor.
Anyone that says "crop is good enough for you" is just coping with their lack of adequate gear by trying to ensure no one else has better gear, they do not have your interests at heart!
