For this shot, I metered for the avocado shoots, obvs. This was a long time ago, but it was somewhere in the region of 1/1000 @ f/11.
As you can see, the 40mm STM makes some nice sunstars.
As we can also see, there's not much fine detail on the surface of the sun, as we focused 40cm in front of the lense, not on infinity, but we can still make out the corona nicely.
