Hi, visiting from /k/. I've only lurked here a short while, so I'll try not to piss anyone off *too much*
I've considered getting into film photography since my dad was into it, and had some yashica mat cameras that I played with as a kid.
Apparently I hate money so my current hobbies of guns and civil aviation are no longer enough to thoroughly deplete my paychecks, so now I'm here talking to you folks.
I work for an airline so I can travel for cheap, but I am unfulfilled by the photos my iPhone takes. What would be the best camera to travel with? Is film too fragile? Will it get x-rayed or broken or searched and exposed by some tsa assholes from dumbfuckistan? Should I into digital? What's the best value for a beginner?
I like film, from my limited experience it feels like shooting bolt action and reloading your own cartridges, taking time with each shot. Or should I just full auto a digital camera until I photo something ok?
Posting from phone so pic is a phone pic, deal with it.
