>>3187633That does sound odd. The manual focus ring on my nikkor kit lenses won't work if I turn them too fast. I have to move them slowly and sometimes it takes forever it seems. What lens is it specifically? I did find this on someone repairing a lens they dropped:
>This instructable also tells you how to stop that annoying focus ring slip, as there is an adjustment inside.http://www.instructables.com/id/RepairAdjustClean-Canon-17-55mm-f28-Dropped-/So, it seems like that lens needs repair and isn't working properly. Hence the "great price".
>>3187635>There will be a little period where you think that everyone's looking at you funny for bringing a camera with you everywhere. Eventually you realize that nobody else gives that much of a shit about you because they're all dealing with their own insecurities.Very true. Though, I started right out the gate at a huge skyclad Pagan event, photographing all the naked chicks and deflecting people coming up and asking what I'm doing. Though, I mostly asked permission or had someone model for me. The only reason I leave my camera behind is when I'm doing work related stuff or going to the store. I simply will not leave $2k of equipment locked in a truck alone. It is either on my person or locked up in my house. Shopping with a camera is cumbersome. But, then I'll decide to go to a park to walk a trail after work or whatever.
