>>4009921Who talks bad about it? EC definitely has uses. Anytime you have at least 1 setting automated, EC is there to help you better fine tune the exposure. There are definitely times where an automated exposure can lead to clipping in the shadows or highlights, and EC can help prevent that. Anytime you have a lot of light or dark in the frame, that can often throw off the meter to where EC is super helpful.
A lot of the Fuji sensors are mostly ISO invariant above ~800, but not perfectly so. So even if you can just +exposure in post, it isn't necessarily as good as using EC and getting a better exposure when shot.
