>>3171545>>3171523I think I get what they're trying to say -- film is a snapshit enhancer. That's why Instagram spent all that time and money making filters.
You take a picture with a disposable camera, your mom gets it developed, the prints live in a shoebox for twenty years. You'll stumble upon these prints while helping her clean. It's just a picture of your neighbor's old dog. You both will get nostalgic.
You take a picture with your phone, it stays on your phone. You will never find it by accident while helping your mom clean. Maybe Time Hop will remind you to spend 10 seconds looking at a jpeg of your neighbor's old dog. You don't feel much of anything.
The film look certainly helps, but a big part might also be printing. People just don't seem to do that as much. I know I only get prints when I get back my film.
I've been using a Goodwill bulk lot point and shoot instead of my camera for the past few weeks, and I've been really happy with it.
>>3171533I have a 645n, and it's fine! Except it's the size of a toaster, the shutter sounds like a car door slamming, and I never want to carry or use it ever. I can't imagine that D improves the experience.
