GF and I have been working on getting close to these foxes for about 3 years now. The vixen has been getting more tolerant with us, and has allowed this generation of kits out in our presence. The offspring from the last 2 years kind of stood guard around us, watching. It was amazing.
Last night was pretty special... this little one came within 3 feet of us. This was taken with 105mm f/2.8 at ISO 3200, (it was about 5 minutes after the sun went down). Pretty much shoved the camera in its face.
