Galaxy's are so dim you'd need a $2,000-10,000+ telescope even then looking at them they just look fuzzy to the naked eye.
astrophotography as mentioned is a hella pricey hobby.
Hell a entry level refractor will run you anywhere from $400+ if you are magically able to find a decent refractor under $500 you will be lucky.
The process is advanced it's a lot of work.
You really need a good telecope mount they cost from $699 on sale to over $10,000
You need a auto guider for long exposure to counter act the the earth spin.
You're looking at $1,500+ of you're lucky to get stuff on sale or used.
Is my setup I don't have the money now to finish getting a auto guider to help with exposures of 2 minutes or longer
It's not like you just put the telescope and start imaging you gotta balance, polar align ect..
