I own a Anamorphot 1.33 fixed onto a Sony Zeiss 55 f1.8 on a sony A7rii.
The anamorphot x2 amd 1.33 are much practical than the projector lenses because its made to take in lense.
it cost quite alot for the anamorphot but im guessing you might get for cheap on ebay or amazon. I can recommend you another smaller and cheaper alternative which is the Kowa prominar 16-h or moller anamorphic. IF you're shooting still you need to shoot it at 4:3 at x2 and 16:9 at x1.33. Its really hard to focus with anamorphic because you need to focus the near/far on the anamorphic adaptor and then the taking lens. So you need to pre-conceptualize and focus proper.
I do alot of anamorphic street photography and its the hardest thing to do because i need to focus the anamorphic lens and taking lens and i gotta do what HCB does wait for that decisive moment.

But since you are only doing stills i would recommend you save some money and get yourself a Hassleblad Xpan.. which is to me the best alternative to cinematic looking photos. Im saving up for one myself.
