>>3458859Unfortunately the foil seems to be enough to confirm the camera's internals are still working, I haven't been able to get it to shoot film well at all. The battery check will click, but only beep if i press on the battery compartment a specific way. Film doesn't want to advance and the shutter doesn't fire reliably, although I can tell the motors are all good, I was able to get it to rewind a roll eventually. Trying to fill the battery compartment more to have a tighter connection doesn't seem to be helping, I think the broken contact is still to blame, and it's in such an awkward spot to reattach with soldering or something. Maybe it would be doable with some disassembly but I'm pretty hesitant to go there
