Why are we so fixated on gear? Some of the greatest photographers of all time only used a couple of cameras over the course of their lives that were functionally the same. Why is everyone obsessed with chasing the next newest model? We've easily reached the point where ten year old digital cameras are faithful enough to trounce what the greats used and yet we keep going. Why? How do we stop? Where are we going? We've traded the touch of an old familiar tool known backwards and forwards, and for what? Yet more megapixels?
Buy one camera and learn everything about it and let its use become second nature. Stop the rot.
