Of course the photos didn't get any better, but the camera is a joy to use and I always take it with me when I leave the house.

You don't magically take better photos with a Leica. Whenever some mechanical part breaks, you can get it repaired.

If you plan buying a Leica, I suggest to do some research and get the model that fits your needs. A Leica isn't a camera for beginners and you should know how to use your tool and which focal length you prefer - not all Leicas cover all focal lengths. Personally, I'd say mine was worth it and I enjoy using it more than any other camera I owned before.
