>>4345289There's a difference, but... not much of one. Whatever the perceived drawbacks are, I think it's the most amazing camera I've ever used.
Just to refute a few of your points tho:
1. APSC DR. Not even close.
2. Busted autofocus. On what planet? You have to learn how to use it, but it's pretty reliable. D850 might have the edge when using a flash with the IR assist in very dark environments, but probably not. This thing sees into the dark. Haven't had a problem, especially if using a 1.2 or 1.8 or even 2.8 lens.
3. Battery life is pretty great, I got 1900 shots on a single battery two days ago. You have to manage it a bit more actively to eke out the most battery life. As opposed to the DSLRs where standby cost you basically nothing, standby on the Zs is close to active battery usage. So I just switch it off when it's going to idle for a bit.
4. No OVF. No shit.
5. No AF-D support. Oh no, my 30 year old lenses, what will I do? Manually focus? Okay. Also, why I keep F mount bodies around.
6. Overheating. Never has in my experience, even shooting video for extended periods. 8K RAW, 4K h.265, extended Ch RAW bursts, in the sun, indoors, doesn't matter. I can't speak to the Z8 because I haven't used one, but the Z9 has never overheated on me.
7. Fixed pattern noise. This one is beyond my comprehension, maybe you care about it as a measurebator but it just doesn't factor into real usage. Whatever it is, if it's there, I haven't noticed it and neither has a client.
