i don't have experience with HP5, but judging by other photos i've seen that used it, this grain looks pretty typical. i also come from a background of tri-x (>crutch)
i've tried a couple different films at dilutions B and H, and the difference is minimal, if any at all. people report slightly *higher* grain with H, but i never saw a difference
for what it's worth, i like the photo, her pose is very emotional and the bg/location is interesting but not distracting. the grain doesn't detract, and i think the upswept highlights are working in its favor
>>3890173post an example. is it a hard edge, or does it look like the edges of picrel? if it's the latter, your shutter is probably sticking a bit, especially if it's happening more at the faster shutter speeds. not something a CLA can't fix
