>>3753608I try to focus on the people. There are plenty of times I have to drink the koolaid and just shut up and color but I like to show the hardship and emotions going through each Marine. I try to show their eyes a lot and make sure they aren’t washing out any of their natural feelings because I have a camera. I talk to everyone I meet everywhere I go and make sure they see that at least some part of the Corps isn’t here to dick them over, at least one of us cares about them. Seeing me out there and seeing how cool I make them look, giving them something to send home to their parents or spouses seems to make the Marines I’ve run with pretty happy. There are a lot of photos I can’t post officially but that doesn’t mean I don’t have them. I can’t show nicotine or alcohol use but I still have the memoirs and I still have the photos. I feel like you’d like the movie Combat Obscura. Check it out when you get the chance.
