>>3715225There's no disadvantage. In fact, you might be better off, especially if you spend more for the control ring or the drop in filter version of the EF to EOS R adapter. I use the latter and it allows me to use a universal CPL or variable ND filter on *any* of my EF lenses, including my ultra wide angles which would usually necessitate an expensive and bulky proprietary front filter adapter.
On caveat though, make sure your lenses are compatible or can be updated firmware wise however to be used on the RF mount cameras.
