I have never shot anywhere that has less light pollution than what is marked as yellow, I don't know what the clouds naturally look like w/o light pollution, they always appear orange to me. I would imagine at a certain point they would shift towards a faint brown as it would still reflect very faint traces of light pollution, unless you're literally out in the middle of nowhere like the outback. The color of clouds at night are simply the color of light originating from the ground.
I consider (pic related) a throwaway pic since the clouds on the horizon essentially ruin it, couldn't get a clear shot all night. But even in what's marked in yellow on the light pollution map, aiming towards NYC you can still pick up the milky way.
If you want your pictures to appear more blue, just shift the color temperature as far to the left as you feel is appropriate. I don't think there's anything wrong with your pics, I want to shoot where it's that dark to get those results.
