hello film autists, I'm looking for a step up in quality and I don't know what the best and most cost-efficient way of going about it is
I own a 5d3 and a 6d with a number of L zoom lenses that I mainly use for stills, two fluorescent lights, octaboxes, umbrellas, stands and whatnot, and I mainly shoot videos of myself playing music with the cameras standing still on their tripods
my main issues are the lack of post-production latitude I have, I assume due to the video compression, lack of log profiles and assorted amenities, and the lack of sharpness, especially when the lighting is less than ideal
should I invest in a dedicated video rig, upgrade one camera to a 5d4, upgrade one camera to whatever mirrorless who can record better in-camera video, buy an external recorder and connect it to the 5d3, or what else?
also, would I be right in thinking that the main things I'm looking for to solve my issues are a camera that can record at least 1080p video without pixel binning and that can record video with a log profile, at least 4:2:2 chroma subsampling, and ideally 10bit color, or are those specs secondary to something else?
>blackmagic pocket cinema camera 4k
I like/need wide angle, that sensor seems far too small
