>>4123467I've owed the GRIII before, but it broke during an accident. The months without a point and shoot lacked the spontaneity and diary character such a small camera provided me. (I'm sure other people get the same from their phone or other, cheaper point and shoot cameras, but I wouldn't want to miss the GR's picture quality, user experience and ergonomics.)
To me, it's not a replacement for my other camera, but the possibility to bring one to places and events I would never bring a bigger camera to. I still bring out bigger gear if I need to, ranging from the Z6 to a 4x5. It's a conscious decision and it's usually work or a certain project that demands the visual language of this kind of gear. The GR is with me on a habitual basis. This led me to documenting a lot of situations during the last years and that makes me happy. I took this thing with me on funerals, didn't look out of place and got professional results.
