So, every film is a bit different with colour casts. Pushing will give you “crossover”, the highlights a different cast and shadows a different cast. You prioritise correction for your subject, or what “looks best” trying to find a compromise (it’s very time consuming to almost impossible to correct cast both in highlights and shadows). Usually skin tones fall in mid-highs with normal metering. And, is usually, highlights tend a bit to yellows, while shadows tend a bit to magenta. But every film is different. Get some scans and see how they look yourself, also post some that you like.
