First time doing animal/wildlife. Due to the harsh lighting innawoods: set iso to base, -1.6EV, aperture priority. On the day shutter speeds were ok... ish. Some shots got a bit noisy in post tho.
Got a day off work tomorrow. Are wildfowl on a canal considered zoo shots? If you feed them they come too close and kick off.
In my limited experience shooting animals really ups your camera operating game. Pets not so much, my cat wants to know why I'm looking at him through a black box and comes over to investigate. Thankfully my cat isn't really interested in birbs, he is obsessed with killing rats. Are rats wild animals?
Anyhoo... I'll try to photo animal's eyes.
