get a cheap film camera like me (yashica fx d quartz) or similar ones, with preferably a light meter, get some lenses and a roll of Kodak Gold 200 and start shooting.
I have had the feeling that this has brought me closer to photography, and further away from overcooked multi color landscape trash.
Even when i used my digital camera, my only goal was to make a picture look "good" instead of natural, something which i can pursue now more easily.
It can be a fun experience to play around with different types of film / different techniques or different cameras. Atm i'm probably going to switch to medium format, since i have a medium format camera laying at home.
Also the colors in your edited picture look like something that was made with a VSCO preset
