>>2651601With slide film you still have more leeway than people would have to believe but you can definitely overexpose. As you can see in this example the scene contrast was way too high to be using slide film and you can no longer read the sign. You'll just have to trust me that this could not be recovered by my scanner and when viewed on a light table/window/monitor the slide was pure white with no detail.
Negative film, color or b&w, is what the other person is talking about when they say it has extremely wide exposure latitude.
