there is no point going to tiny tags like that. sure it will sit in there longer, but very few people are visiting it. you will not get much browsing globally.
at the same time, dont go for the ones over 20 million. hovering in and around the 3-5 million area is good because people are accessing that tag a lot but it's not flooding over ridiculously fast.
you need TAG traffic for it to be relevant at all in the first place.
don't forget that it's so common for assholes to come like your shit, then follow you, and then unfollow you within like an hour. that's just how it is nowadays. I used to follow everyone who followed me and only later found out they were unfollowing and sometimes even UNLIKING the like they gave me all within a couple hours.
That being said, you need to keep your rate of followers positive over your follow then unfollow rate. Otherwise you'll never build more people.
